Chongqing's official “Glamorous Chongqing” drone show is one of the largest on Earth. In June 2025 it set the Guinness World Record for the largest aerial image ever formed by drones — 11,787 aircraft painting mountains, rivers and blossoms over the exact stretch of water outside our windows.

It returns every Saturday night and on holidays. Over 100,000 people crowd the riverbanks to watch — your terrace is the front row, drink in hand.

For international travellers this has become a must-do in Chongqing — right up there with the drone show and the hotpot. The riverfront stretch of Nanbin Road below the hotel is the city's legendary motorcycle photo spot, with the entire Yuzhong skyline as a natural backdrop. Get on a bike and collect the ritual travellers call the “Chongqing visa on arrival”.
